A Snippet!

My youngest son and his girlfriend have been let down on the flat they were supposed to move into next week.  They cannot stay in the house they now rent as the landlord has new tenants.  So they are moving back home.............
................and as much as we love them, and we really really do, the thought of all of us sharing the house ..........................!!!!!!

  1. Oh dear, and it's impossible to say no, isn't it? I know. You can't very well tell them to live in a tent in the park, especially at this time of year! Good luck, and let's hope they soon find another flat.

  2. I'm not sure how I'd react if any of mine wanted to move home!! I know what you mean...you love them to pieces but it's hard to give up the space and I don't just mean physical space. I've gotten so used to my quiet times...I'd miss that. I think I'd put them to work on some projects around the house.

  3. I meant to say, too, that they're a very cute couple! :-)

  4. Fran - I agree with Cheryl. They look like nice young people, and the home-again-home-again trend seems to be worldwide, not just your son and his sweetie.
Also, I wanted to say go ahead, use anything of mine you want if you think it will help your students. Of course, I'll be very curious to know how it goes. Do tell.

  7. Oh you never know Fran, you may get into a wonderful groove with them.... Quite a few years back, I did the unthinkable and moved into my mom's place (pre my better half) to save money in order to buy a home. We learned quickly where we could tread with each other, but had the best times of our lives hanging out with each other. We went from mother and daughter and good friends, to the very bestest friends ever! I wish the same for you!

Thank you Average Girl, I am glad you have that sort of relationship with your mum, I do with mine and I cherish it.

  9. Move out and be quick about it, you know it makes sense.

Don't keep us guessing too long, we are all dying to know what's going down.
