The Ship's Stores
This is what I was so excited about - my new walk in larder. It was something that was on the plans from day one and now it is beginning to come together. The reason for getting this bit done was to clear Carpe Diem of some clutter, although I don't know where all those stores came from! The outside part of the larder will have more shelves, a nice deep butler sink (for bathing Alfie) and some cupboards. It is well insulated and hopefully will maintain a fairly constant temperature. Got to go now and fill up some more shelves!

I am in LOVE!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful larder Fran. No wonder you are so excited.
And is that a Tiptree product I spy on the shelf...Brandy Butter?
Enjoy it, you deserve it.
Sft x
You lucky lucky girl.
ReplyDeleteBill - there is a lip n the shelves, but honestly the boat is so stable you don't know whether the tide is in or out! When we set sail, I will secure them all on the floor!
ReplyDeleteSft - of course it is Tiptree Brandy Butter - can you buy any other sort!!! Tiptree is literally 5 mins down the road, so I love to go there and stock up xxx
Datacreata - I know :)
Ooh I love a good larder, and that's a good larder! xx
ReplyDeleteWow, that was quick! And it looks really great! What a lovely store room. I'm also glad to see the shelves have a lip at the front to stop things sliding of when the going gets rough!
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted a larder. All the kitchen clutter in an easy to find space. I'm sure you'll find it very useful.
ReplyDeleteLove from Mum

Walk in food stores are just wonderful, we had one at our last house, but don't here - so we use an old wardrobe instead!
