On the Road

I read somewhere that people who are born outside their native land will never be able to settle.  I was actually born in West Germany, although I have a British birth certificate and am a British national (not English note).  Although I love Tollesbury and want to end my days here, I do want to see a lot more of the world.  I suppose the wander lust in me is one of the reasons why I love boats so much. I like  the idea of taking my home with me on my travels and travelling at a leisurely pace.   However, it is not just boats that appeal, I also quite like the idea of taking to the road in a caravan.  Isn't this caravan just perfect!

  2. I'm the same way - born in Rustington England to Canadian parents stationed there with the RAF. I've always had wanderlust as a result. The caravan would be just right for me. If you want to exchange your place in the UK for a holiday in Argentina, let me know!

  4. So sorry I am so late here. Challenges abound in my life at the moment. I LOVE this caravan, and like you am an incurable gypsy. I wasn't born out of my native land, but having left it at quite a young age and then moved around quite a bit after that, I cannot imagine settling anywhere permanently, and that is exactly why I bought a boat. I am beginning to think a gorgeous caravan like this would be a lot let trouble though! Lovely picture, Fran!

  5. Hi Vally, how's it going? Lovely as it is, the caravan doesn't really have the sense of history that your barge has and, with the big 4 x 4 that you would need to tow it, is a lot less environmentally sound! Good luck with your rust xxx
