And Now Stairs!

Last week a floor and this week, stairs, Pete certainly knows the way to my heart!  He found these stairs laying in someone's garden just waiting to be taken to the tip, so Pete generously offered to take them off their hands.    But as you know by now, Pete has chopped them down, tarted them up and now we have these lovely stairs, saving ourselves about £600 in to the bargain.  What a difference it makes!  Alfie is delighted that he can get up and down to his Daddy (he couldn't quite manage the ladder!) and I love just being able to go up and down, up and down, up and down just because I can!

  1. Looking good, looking good! Although I wouldn't like to be living amongst such a construction area, I feel the end result will be marvelous. I'm trying really hard not to be a tad jealous:)

  2. So happy for Alfie. Oh, and for you, too, Fran. Stairs are essential for me, I can't do ladders, so that's why I relate to Alfie.

  3. Datacreata-we don't actually live on the barge yet, we live on the boat next door!
Kay-I don't like ladders either, but I seem to have spent a lot of my life going up and down them.

  4. Things are really coming along. I'll have to send the Travel Channel your way once it is finished. Maybe they'll do a European version some day. Even if they don't you'll know you have the best floating home on the water. - Margy

  5. Wow, what progress you have made. I'm so sorry I've missed so many posts. Life is still chaotic, but I had to come and visit just once. I've caught up with reading all your posts, and love the 'walkies' Alfie posts. He looks a real poppet. xx
