Lip Balm

Look what I won in a blog give away, some beautiful homemade lip balm. My blogging pal Tanya makes some lovely lip balm, soap and other goodies that she sells in her Etsy shop. Her wonderful blog is always worth a visit. She lives on the beautiful Isle of Man and blogs about her self sufficiency, farmer's markets, allotment, cooking, booze making and so much more. I am really envious as she has also just taken up bee-keeping. I highly recommend that you go take a look: http://tanyahighet.blogspot.co.uk/. And a great big thank you to Tanya for my lip balm as it is amazing xxx

  1. That looks lovely, Fran. I often need lip balm in the chilly winter months and sometimes in the very hot months of summer too. Still, I think if I had lovely hand made balm like this, I might use it all the time just for the luxury feeling. I'm going to visit Tanya's site now!

  2. Good for you. When I first looked at the thumbprint of your picture I thought it was a curling rock. - Margy

  4. I find that lip balm makes a mess on the stem of my pipe [wink!] So I leave it alone though Mrs Herron is a regular user.

I am a follower of Tanya's blog Mrs H has strong Manx connections.

  5. Hi, my name is Steve and I am the husband of Connie at Crafty Home Cottage. She has told me about you and your husband and how you are remodeling a barge to make into your retirement home. That totally fascinates me, I'm looking forward to more photos as he progresses along. Would love to see photos of the other boat that he built. I built a 9 foot cedar-strip yacht tender and have photos of it on my blog. I would like to invite you over to visit and follow. It's not much, I've only done three post. I'm just getting started, Connie has been encouraging me to start one. Looking forward to sharing your journey. Steve

  6. Val - luxury and tastiness, well worth it!
Margy - that would give me a fat lip! Lol
Diane - I love prizes, especially something as special as this.
Mel - a blockage in your pipe is not a good idea!
Steve - great to meet you and popping in for a visit now.

  9. Congrats on your win. This is just my kind of lip balm, I am a huge fan of Burts Bees stuff but find them a bit pricey, so will certainly check out Tanya's site. May have to admire from a distant right now though or make a wish list.
