Wheelhouse now floorboarded and furnished! The floor is temporary and, I hope, so is the office chair. However, Pete has taken to sitting in this drinking his morning tea and looking out over the creek. He had better not get too attached, as there's shabby chic and downright tat! It is such a lovely space that I cannot wait to get moved in.
It looks marvellous Fran. You must be getting excitingly close to being able to move on board. Lovely! Isn't it just Murphy's law that now we are back at work, the weather has turned so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a beautiful place to live. I sure laughed about your title.

Seriously exciting!!
ReplyDeleteVal - unfortunately we are not that close yet, I just have to keep nagging! Weather was gorgeous yesterday, but today we are planning a bbq for about 30 people and the forecast is rain!
ReplyDeleteKay - by the time we have spent all our money getting the barge done, this could be the limit of the furniture!
2 Tramps - good to hear from you, have been catching up on your blog this morning, great reading.
What is worse, a shabby chair in the wheelhouse or a toilet in the kitchen for a month. Construction brings strange bedfellows. Do you mean the floor is temporary because you are covering it with something else? What have you chosen? - Margy
ReplyDeleteMargy - eventually I would like to have big wide oak floorboards in the wheelhouse, but until we can afford them we thought that we would paint a chart of the East coast on the floor and then the party game can be 'put the bouys in the right place'x
