Bill - you were still snoring in your pit when I took the photo, tomorrow I will come knocking for you to watch the sunrise!!!! Datacreata, most of the time sea smell, however when they fertilise the fields and the wind is in the right direction....!!!x
Gratitude is a great way to start the day! I feel the same here in the high desert of Oregon. But I have to admit I would enjoy that wonderful sea air! (And I don't mind the other kind, either, having had grandparents that were dairy farmers!)
2 Tramps - you are right, it is better to feel gratitude rather than grumpy in the morning! x Shara - thanks for dropping by, I look forward to getting to know you x Val - I am getting better at taking photos on my iphone, although they are a long way from perfect x SFT - I actually suggested to Pete that we did B&B and built another room on to the wheelhouse, I won't tell you what his answer was! x Dian - Thank you, it was pretty and stayed lovely all day x
oh you are lucky! what gorgeous colors...what a gorgeous view!!! I am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can. did the saying come true...pink sky in morning, sailors warning...
Hello Dear Fran, I think that the red sky is beautiful, too, and if you are not going out to sea . . . forget about what they say, right? Are your new boat neighbors there for the winter or are they traveling on?
I love your new chandelier and good for Pete to save it. It will be a pretty addition to your barge. If it could talk I'm sure it would be thanking you for saving it and giving it a wonderful new home. What room will it be hanging in?
Thanks for your sweet visit and do come again, your blogging sister, Connie :)
Gill, Mel, Connie, Diane and Sami, thanks for your comments. It did stay fine that day, so put paid to the saying! Mel - for some reason you keep ending up in spam! Connie, the chandelier is going in the bedroom, or should I say boudoir! Take care all of you xxx
And didn't it make the red stuff on the marsh even redder. You must tell be the name of it one day.

Yes you are indeed lucky. What's the smell around you like, sea smell or better, or worse!

A grand morning sunrise and the red lightship fits into the scene very well too.
ReplyDeleteI know the old adage about a red sky in the morning is supposed to be a warning of bad weather, except that it is not always true.
