Sigh.....

This was my view first thing this morning. Okay, I know all about red sky in the morning but I still can't help thinking how lucky I am.

  1. And didn't it make the red stuff on the marsh even redder. You must tell be the name of it one day.

  2. Yes you are indeed lucky. What's the smell around you like, sea smell or better, or worse!

  3. Bill - you were still snoring in your pit when I took the photo, tomorrow I will come knocking for you to watch the sunrise!!!!
Datacreata, most of the time sea smell, however when they fertilise the fields and the wind is in the right direction....!!!x

  4. Gratitude is a great way to start the day! I feel the same here in the high desert of Oregon. But I have to admit I would enjoy that wonderful sea air! (And I don't mind the other kind, either, having had grandparents that were dairy farmers!)

  12. A grand morning sunrise and the red lightship fits into the scene very well too.

I know the old adage about a red sky in the morning is supposed to be a warning of bad weather, except that it is not always true.

  13. Hello Dear Fran, I think that the red sky is beautiful, too, and if you are not going out to sea . . . forget about what they say, right? Are your new boat neighbors there for the winter or are they traveling on?

I love your new chandelier and good for Pete to save it. It will be a pretty addition to your barge. If it could talk I'm sure it would be thanking you for saving it and giving it a wonderful new home. What room will it be hanging in?

Thanks for your sweet visit and do come again, your blogging sister, Connie :)

  16. Gill, Mel, Connie, Diane and Sami, thanks for your comments. It did stay fine that day, so put paid to the saying! Mel - for some reason you keep ending up in spam! Connie, the chandelier is going in the bedroom, or should I say boudoir! Take care all of you xxx
