  2. Val, Pete said it was one of the most amazing experiences he had ever had. They flew over the countryside around Essex, but could see London from the air. He said it didn't feel like you were flying at all and was so peaceful. Later today I will post some of his pictures from the air. He definitely wants to do it again, so if you are heading over this way, perhaps you could go with him? Xxxx

  3. Hi Fran, we love your hot air balloon pictures. I got Connie a balloon ride for her 50th birthday.

Looks like the bedroom construction is coming along nicely.

Connie and I love hearing from you. We had fun with this one and the squirrels are having fun too. We actually have spotted three peanut plants coming up. Doubtful they will survive our climate for long but cool nonetheless.

    Love Connie and Steve.

  4. finally catching up with your blog. Love the thought of a balloon ride, but hate heights, so I guess that's not going to happen.

Can't wait to see the results of your bedroom. Do you have a post where it tells us all about your home?

  6. Connie and Steve, you are a lot braver than me going up in a balloon! That's really cool growing peanuts! Xxxx
Gill - in the archives at the very beginning of my blog there are some pictures of how we came to buy the barge and what it was originally like. I can't work out how to do a link with the iPad, sorry xxxx
Tanya - he said it was amazing and can't wait to do it again xxx

It's good to see that someone has a head for heights.

  9. That must be quite a rush. Of course, when we fly our airplane we hate it when the sound goes silent. But on a balloon, when it is supposed to be that way, it must be nice. - Margy
